Wollongong Makers Market

The Wollongong Makers Market showcases the creative talents of local artists and artisans, with a plethora of one-of-a-kind handmade wares of exceptional quality in a friendly, UPbeat atmosphere.

The next market will be held on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November 2024 from 9 am to 3 pm at the University of Wollongong's Innovation Campus in North Wollongong.

Come along to browse over 90 stalls displaying exceptional examples of ceramics, knitwear, crochet and sewing, macramé, leatherwork, woodwork and eclectic UPcycled creations.

You'll also find a wonderful collection of jewellery, from fine silver to polymer clay designs, and a large combined stall from the Illawarra Craft and Arts Network (ICAN).

New this year we open the Enterprise Gallery, a space dedicated to displaying larger artworks, where we'll have eight artists, including a furniture maker, showcasing their works.

You'll also discover locally made perfumes, original paintings and prints, cards, hand-dyed clothing, handmade chocolates and much more.

We'll have a wide range of food stalls with an international flavour, along with coffee and local wines. Relax and enjoy live jazz in a café-style lounge area downstairs in the Central building.

Local environmental groups will also be joining us, with displays showcasing their work to protect native wildlife.

It's easy to get to the market. You can walk, ride, catch the free green bus or drive and park for free. So please come along for a unique and UPmarket shopping experience and support your local artisans.
